Colonel Do Xuan Hung, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Binh Dinh Provincial Military Command analyzed the Korean – Vietnam Mine Action Project has restored faith in the local community to produce and work, which contributed to the local socio-economic development as well as raising awareness on combating the threat of unexploded ordnance. The project as so helped affected victims in social integration, reducing the burden for the family and the community.

In the meeting with senior delegates from KVMAP, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh – Vice President of Binh Dinh People’s Committee affirmed the determination to have the project’s results contribute to the local prosperity and the safety of the community through proper usage of the transferred UXO cleared land.

Binh Dinh: KVMAP senior executives visit new community established on areas cleared of unexploded ordnance

During the business trip to Binh Dinh to conduct on-site supervision of the Korean – Vietnam Mine Action Project (KVMAP), senior executives including representatives of the Vietnam Mine Action Center (VNMAC), Mr. Cho Han-Deog – Country Director of KOICA Vietnam, Mrs. Caitlin Wiesen – UNDP Resident Representative and staffs of KVMAP visited the new community which was established on areas cleared of unexploded ordnance. The mission had the opportunity to talk to the community members.
