Faith restored, local community produce and work with peace in mind thanks to KVMAP

Colonel Do Xuan Hung, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of Binh Dinh Provincial Military Command analyzed the Korean – Vietnam Mine Action Project has restored faith in the local community to produce and work, which contributed to the local socio-economic development as well as raising awareness on combating the threat of unexploded ordnance. The project as so helped affected victims in social integration, reducing the burden for the family and the community.

So far KVMAP has conducted identification for areas contaminated by UXO to effectively utilize resources for UXO clearance and eliminate the threat of UXO which will assure the community life and production.

The aforementioned effort will work in tandem with the promotion of socio-economic development; improve administration capacity for post-war UXO consequence settlement; provide timely aid for victims to improve life quality and social reintegration; raise awareness of the threat of UXO to the population

Population in Binh Dinh and Quang Binh within the scope of KVMAP will get to use the entire cleared land areas after the end of the project, which will promote production, cultivation and building social welfare facilities, restore the environment, and contribute to sustainability.
