Criteria to determine the priority postwar mine action activities

The priority order for postwar mine / UXO remedial activities in Vietnam in general and internationally funded (including KOICA) is determined as The level of mine and UXO pollution (% ), the number of accidents and victims of landmine / UXO accidents, the poverty rate (%), are among the priority provinces of the Government in the national rural development strategy, and previous projects involving local donors.

The average provincial total score of PCI (competitiveness index) and PAPI (performance index of governance and public administration) over the past 5 years, the level of support previously and continuing to date from units operating in the field of mine action.

In addition, the implementation of the project to overcome the consequences of bombs and mines must be based on the local socio-economic development plan, which includes the planning of land use, the strategy of building a new countryside, while reducing sustainable poverty, protecting the environment, and combating climate change.
