Vietnam National Mine Action Center (VNMAC) has the role and task of coordinating post-war mine action in Vietnam.
 
The role of the VNMAC in coordinating post-war mine action in Vietnam

Specifically, VNMAC advises to develop a legal framework on overcoming the consequences of bombs and mines after the war; to Develop a national plan to overcome the consequences of landmines and UXO in long-term 5 years and annually; to Evaluate the provincial plan for overcoming the consequences of bombs and mines, and to conduct Scientific research in the field of landmine / UXO recovery after the war.

For key projects and projects funded by foreign countries, that are implemented in the territory of Vietnam on landmines / UXO remediation, VNMAC is responsible for reporting and providing information to competent authorities’ approval.

At the same time, VNMAC performs project quality management, nationwide data information management, and certification training with foreign organizations and individuals operating in the territory of Vietnam.
