The project will be carried out in Gio Linh district and Dong Ha city with total capital of nearly US$50,800.

Under the project, the funding will be granted to poor households of mine victims and disabled people over a period of three years to improve their living conditions.

Thirty eight years after the end of the American war, Quang Tri is still one of the provinces in Vietnam most contaminated by unexploded ordnance (UXO), with over 80% of its land area containing wartime bombs and landmines. Many victims of UXO and landmine explosions still live in the province and are facing difficulties in their daily lives.
